how to add checkbox list items in ms acccess

I am using checkbox list in my project, if the user checks multiple items how it will be updated in ms access.

[x] item1
[ ] item2
[ ] item3
[x] item4
[ ] item5
[x] item6

if it is checked like this, the checked items should be updated how can i do this
is it possible? or else i want like this

item1 item2 item3 item4 item5 item6
yes no no yes no yes

Please help me..Thanks in advance
