search from combo box

P: 2
Hello
I am trying to change the way a combo box serches. Right now it searches from the begining of field. can it be chaged to search any string of letters anywhere in field.
ex: field 1= " montclair quebec"
field 2= "canada montreal"
searching "mon" should bring up both result.
Now at soon as I type "m" it will bring up "montclair quebec" field only.

Goto Tools - Options - Find/Edit and set Default Find/Replace Behavior to General. You'll have to close Access and re-open for this to take effect.

Thanks for the [b]welcome

this is already on General. I also tried to change it back and forth closing it in between but no change.
I am using this combo box from a form, does this make a difference?

What you're interested in is the AutoExpand property of a ComboBox.

Unfortunately, I don't believe it has the flexibility you need.
