user level security on database on local network

Hello,
When you place an access database on a local network with user level security. Do you have to create a shortcut on each node to access the database. I used the wizard and I see its created one on my pc.
How do I create a shortcut on other computers?
Or do I have to?

noboday's answered this question - maybe too simple- I have used wizard which created a shortcut on my pc and now I have copied its path and used that on another pc to make shortcut and it worked. Hopefully on next pc's it works too

That can work sometimes but at others it may not.

You need to look at the properties of the shortcut and see what is in the Target.

You also need to know how your network is set up (which we don't at this stage).

If you'd like to post the Target value I could look at it for you to see what may be required for shortcuts on other PCs.

PS. Although this is created by Access, it's really a Windows question. Not a problem now as we can handle it, but remember most of the members who look through the questions in Access are Access experts and not Windows ones.
