Creating Application Ribbons

Hi,

i have a application database written in A2K3 that i have converted to
A2K7 and i am looking to create an application ribbon that i can ship
with the runtime. It would be fair to say that i am having trouble
getting my head round the new technology and not making any progress.
At this stage all i want, is to be able to allow the user to trigger
forms or reports from my application ribbon (user clicks button - sees
form). Is there a good site or manual that will set me on my way?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a good place to start:

(I don't have A2k7 yet so I'll not be much help)

Take a look at this page :

and/or check out the RibbonCreator which is available as a shareware version

Hi Thanks to you both for the prompt responses. I had previouely found
my way to this site and downloaded the code. What i cannot discover is
how to invoke a form from a buttom - seems simple but i can only get
the button displayed but cannot figure how to trigger the required
form from the XML

I can't check the samples databases available there as I have no A07
installed here.
Did you do so ?

hi,

found the sample databases and they do show how to trigger forms -
though it looks remarkably complicated - not a straight forward
procedure :(
Thanks for your help

That's right - it's not a straight forward procrdure.

Hence let me repeat the clue to the RibbonCretor:

http://www.accessribbon.de/en/?Ribbon_Creator

You may create small ribbons with the shareware version - that's could be
enough to increase your understanding for the ribbons.
