Export Query result to txt file tab delimited

P: 77
Hi,

I need to automate a process that would export a query to a text file, tab delimited. I know how to do it manually. Is there a way to automate the same?

Please treat this as urgent.

Thanks for the help.

  1. Create your Export/Tab Delimited Specification, this is only a 1 shot deal. Save the Specification (for this Demo - Spec1)
  2. Assuming you wish to Export Query2, with the Spec1 Specification, to the C:\Test\ Directory, and name the File Query2.txt:
    Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
    1. DoCmd.TransferText acExportDelim, "Spec1", "Query2", "C:\Test\Query2.txt", True, ""

You want to use the Export Text File Wizard. Follow each step and somewhere along the line you will have the option to save your specification.
