Expend by typing in a combobox

Dear reader,

One of the properties of a field is "Auto expand".

Is this the property to able and unable the expend by typing.

My experience with "Expend by typing" in a combobox is not so good.

Sometimes it works and sometimes not and I can't find way.

Is there some setting what I overlooked?

Tanks for any help.

Kind regards,

Simon

What version of Access do you use? What type of field in a table has an "Auto
expand" property?
