ODBC Linked Table provided by Web Service

Does anyone know of an ODBC driver which will send HTTP requests to a
web service, process the response (be it SOAP, XML, text etc.) and
provide a flat data source to MS Access (or Excel)?

I am trying to build a service whereby a client database (e.g. Access)
can access data that drive an existing website, and then expose it in
a standardised, familiar form (e.g. an Access table).
