You did not provide much information about the database size, the operating environment that your database is running in, whether you do a compact&repair on a regular basis, etc. Memory problems could result from any number of practices and procedures that are followed in the operation of your database. Here are a few things to check:
1. make sure name autocorrect is turned off....this is known to cause problems

2. if you haven't done so, your mdb needs to be compacted and repaired on a regular basis.
3. make sure you have applied the latest service pack available for your version of Access

4. failing to explicitly close recordset objects that you have opened in various procedure subs.
5.failing to close automation objects that you have opened in your
code.
