How to close all Tables or Queries in a Front-end

Dear reader,

The indication of a Table from a back-end is open in the frond end will be
shown in the back-end folder by the "ldb" lock file. This lock file pops up
if a table from the back-end is open in the front-end.

I have a form without any table or query RecordSource.

And so fare I know there is no Table or Query open in the front-end but
still there is a ldb lock file showing in the back-end folder.

Is there a command to close all the open tables or queries in the front-end
so the ldb lock files in the back-end folder will remove?

Thanks for any help.

Kind regards,

Simon

is your form(s) based on a table or a query? is the form and all
controls on it completely unbound?

even a dlookup in to a table will cause an open link to the backend, i
believe.

is there any code that is running a lookup to the backend?

are you the only developer? is there someone who has been given access
with out your knowledge?

answering these questions might show where the open link is.

You might want to search for "copying a backend from within frontend", a
thread started on June 6th, at
http://groups.google.com/advanced_search?q=&. The person had a similar
problem.

Yes, the two posters are similar. I thought they were the same person
until this thread appeared.

Have a problem?
Post a question! Try to phrase it so that it's based on false
assumptions. Describe the problem in quaint non-technical terms few
can understand.

Post an Answer?
What's in it for me?

In thanks, post an absurd generalization based on the dumbest response
received?
Of course!

Learn something?
Now you're getting insulting! Why learn something when the CDMA chumps
have and give all the answers?

can you delete the ldb file... sometimes if you crash out of access,
the ldb file is not removed from the folder
and then you reopen access and it looks like there's a lock, but there
really isn't
