exporting a report to excel

P: 107
When I export a report in access to excel - it doesn't show the field names the way I have them on the report- it shows the table names how they actually are.
Is there anyway to get them to excel with names on the report. I know I can put in snapshot form - but I cannot manipulate data then.
Or if there is no way is there any other programs that I might be able to export into and manipulate data.

You don't say what you're currently using.

I would consider doing a TransferSpreadsheet of the query or table the report is run from.

Remember, a report is not designed to hold manipulable data - it's designed to show that data in as friendly a way as possible.

Does this make sense?

Reports can be output to Excel with "OutputTo" Action.
