incorporate attachments in reports (ie as graphic)

19
Hi all
I dont know if anyone can answer this, but is it possible to incorporate uploaded attachments, ie pdf files, into an access report. Ie if I have a normal access report, but would like to add an external document INTO the report, ie like a drawing or simething like that which is attached to the record I am making the report about.
Thanks in advance
Best regards
Ingrid.

Not easily, but it can be done. You're just limited to formats that are supported in the MS Access reports. Normally PCX images, Tiff, JPG and GIF images. as for a formated document, you can insert a control, but you're not going to have much control on how it's going to be placed based on what is going to be in the report. You're going to need to place it on the report as a static object.

If you're wanting to do more than that, then you're talking about doing a great deal of VBA work for a small effect.

It's a lot easier to export what you want, if you physically have the images, then you can place those images as controls on the report. But again you're still running into the problem of having them be a static location unless you do VBA work to move them where you want them.

Hope that helps,
