Using Lookup Data from Column 1 to put in Column 2

I've got a lookup in my Access table that pulls 2 columns from another table. When I select a record, the data from the first column is saved in my table. I would like to put the data from the second column in my tables second column. How do I do that?

Hi Shaught. If you could tell us in sufficient detail 1) what you want to do, 2) the names of the relevant underlying fields in your table, and 3) the name of the combo box or list box control on your form I, and I am sure other contributors, would be glad to help.

If by 'lookup' you mean you have a combo box on your form which lists fields from another table please say so. I guess when you are referring to selecting a record you mean you are selecting an item from the combo box list.

The normal way to update fields from other data looked up in a combo box or list box control is to make use of the After Update event of the control to set field values accordingly. Unfortunately, as you have told us nothing about the data on your form or what is in the combo or listbox lookup I cannot make a meaningful suggestion to help you further.
