How to Sort a Chart by Month

How do I sort a chart by month, for example I have Nov. 07, Dec. 07, Jan. 08, Feb. 08, March 08. I want it in chronolgical order but it puts it in alpha. Any help would be great, I know this has to be a simple fix that I just am not seeing let me know.

Thanks,

What kind of a chart do you need this done in? Excel, word, access?

Sorting by alphabetical order tells me that you have a Text field! If you want it sorted in Date order, you will need to change to a Date/Time datatype.
