Problem with ACCESS 2007 Form

P: 1
Hello everyone on this forum,

I have recently started learning how to use ACCESS 2007 to create databases for work purposes. I ran into a problem while creating a form. Here's the message that popped up:

Field List

No fields available to be added to the current view.

The current recordsource may be invalid (for example, it may contain an invalid join expression), or there was some other problem gathering recordsource information for this object.

Click to edit the current record source.

Show all tables

Any idea on what this problem might be? I know that there is a maximum number of fields in a table = 255. I have created a form using several tables. The tables are linked, and together, there are about 270 fields. Can this problem be due to the fact that I have exceeded the maximum number of fields in the form (is it 255 again?), which explains why this problem is occurring only for the last few fields that I am trying to add onto the form? Hope all this makes sense, and someone will be able to help me, as I am a newbie to all this.
Thanks in advance.

Can you please post your SQL of the Query that you've written. It sounds like your joins are not correct from the error message.

Secondly, Why would you need over 270 Fields in a single Query, that is just a monster of a problem waiting to happen.

Let's take a look at it, and see if we can narrow down what you're trying to accomplish here.

If you want, you can email me and I'll respond to your questions.
