A Particular Database

So I want to create a database that would look something like this.

A form that adds names to the database but when you enter the name, it checks for duplicates. If there are duplicates it produces those names to see if one of those people are the original name you are adding. Then once you've added the name, or clicked one of the produced names that you previously added there will be another form. A form where you add the addresses, numbers, companies etc. There would be a subform or combobox of some sort that shows you the meetings this person has attended and lets you add more meetings. Then also possibly another form/combo box that has all the meetings and when you choose a meeting all of the people that attended it are listed.

Any help, direction anyone could offer I would be incredibly appreciative. I've read through Access 2003 for dummies and am just having a hard time trying to figure out where I need to start. Thanks so much.

A database is just like a house, you must design it before building it. This means putting all the table structures onto paper and getting a firm idea of what you would like the database to do, including reports, etc.

A very good book to read is Database Design for Mere Mortals, 2nd edition by Mike Hernandez. You can find it on Amazon.com for much less than 'new' price.
