SendObject, but for a spreadsheet?

Another thread got me going on SendObject.

Works like a champ for emailing somebody a .SNP of a report as
in:
DoCmd.SendObject acSendReport, "rptMaturities", "Snapshot
Format", "pCresswell", , , "Maturities", "Maturities Report
attached...", False
But I do lot of so-called "reports" where I'm actually creating
an Excel workbook from scratch.

I was hoping I could point SendObject at the Excel.Application
object I was using for the workbook, but no luck - as in:

DoCmd.SendObject acSendNoObject,mySS,,"pCresswell",,,"SendObject
Test w/XLS","XLS Attached?",False

Where "mySS" in the Excel.Application object.

Is there any hope for SendObject here, or do I need to go to some
sort of eMail API?
