SSL communication - UPS Electronic Manifest

1,271 Expert 1GB
Hi folks. I hope one of you has previously done some secure socket layer coding, because this is all brand new to me. I've got an Access app (Access 2003 in XP environment. I've created this UPS manifest text file that I need to send to the UPS website.

I need to open a socket(?) on port 443 and send some requests and receive some responses. I don't really know where to begin. Can anyone help an old guy who feels like a real newbie in this instance.

Thanks,
Jim

Sheesh! More Jims on this forum than you can poke a stick at!

Not sure that this is an Access question, but maybe some of the more experienced guys can point you towards a more appropriate forum.

Good luck, I will watch the answers with interest.
