highlight entire rows in a form

is there an easy way to only let a user select an entire row on a data sheet instead of an individual record?

Clicking in any field selects the entire record. Are you trying to block the user from editing data?

no i am just trying to highlight the row to make it easier to see. The data can be changed.

Then I would look at conditional formatting to change the background colour of the record when selected.
