subform ignores my keydown event

I have a form with two subforms. The main form has a keydown event that is being captured okay. In this case, F11 on the main form takes the user to a textbox on subform number 1.

F12 is supposed to leave the subform. However, F12 is being ignored as is every other keypress. I mean I have a debug breakpoint set in the keydown event handler of subform number 1, but the debugger never kicks in. Instead, when I hit the F12 I get a "save as" dialogue to save the form I am working on.

None of the other keys causes the debug breakpoint to be reached either.

I have previously gone into the Tools/Startup to turn off Access Special Keys.

What can cause this?
Thanks,
Jim

Can you post the code you are using in the keydown event while in the subform.
