Record with empty AutoKey showing

P: 23
I have a Continuous Forms form based on a query that is showing a "blank" record with even the AutoKey field as "Autonumber:"

It is almost as if the "new record" row at the bottom of a table is showing.

I just figured it out, but I am going to post anyway in case somebody else has the problem.

I looked at the "Data" tab (in the properties window) while in design view for the form and found several properties that looked like they might affect things.
Allow Filters
Allow Edits
Allow Deletions
Allow Additions
Data Entry
Since I didn't want any of these to be available I set them to No and *BAM* my mystry row disappeared. So I expect it was actually the New Record row.

The "Allow Additions" equal True will trigger the appearance of the last row (marked by an "*" in the ruler).
When it's a linked subform, Access will automatically show the value of the linkage field(s) in the new record.
