Access Query Data Range

1
Hiah

i need to set a data range on the Product Query.

Basicly the criteria should let me choose a data range between to values for the the Unit cost Field

so i want it to show selected values between

£0 to £30
£30 to £60
£60 to £90

Incrementing by £30.

This is so i can meet the individual customers budget range.

It sounds complicated but thats just me i can explain it properly, hope you understood what i want

im using access 2003,
in Normal design view, dnt know how to use the sql view

Hi Joban

I can't think of an easy way to do this without a bit of programming.

I think your easiest option is to create a new field called PriceCode to hold a number where ;
1 -means £0 to £30
2 -means £30 to £60
3 -means £60 to £90

If you can't write a small program to update Price Code you will have to set it manually (how many items have you got??)

Once set you can use it in your report to sort and group on it. (Open the report in Design mode, choose View on the main menu and you will see the Sorting & Grouping option)

If you decide on this route then someone on the site might help you with some code to workout the PriceCode from the price, if we know your table names and field names..
