programmatically export report with a sub report to word for editing

Hi

I have an application which produces Access Report Letters but my end user wants to be able to edit these reports in word and wants them to open up directly in word. My reports contain sub reports and I don't know how to export these whilst keeping the formatting. Can anyone help? It has been suggested I create and open my reports in Crystal Viewer as you can export to word easier from Crystal but it seems a round about way.
