I have an ACCESS database that exports data for import into a DBF database. I did not know that the program for import requires a certain type of extention other then .txt. The type is "File" Can MS Access export other then .txt and Excel and .csv files. I have tried to export with different extentions and nothing gets exported.
Thanks,
Wayne L.
I don't fully understand your question. How are you exporting the data?
You can export a table manually to a dBase file (III, IV etc) by highlighting it and File > Export then select the file type in the common dialog box.
If you are using the TextTransfer command e.g.
- 'Copy data to CSV file
-
DoCmd.TransferText acExportDelim, , "TransferSalesInvoices", "c:\Wayne\Invoices" & Me.TransferID & ".csv", False
then I am unaware that changing ".csv" would have any effect at all, other than for the program that is looking to subsequently import the data.
If you have the Borland data connector you could make a link directly to the .dbf file and write to it directly.
Has this helped ??
