Removing empty rows in datasheets - Access 2007

P: 22
hi guys,
I can't figure out how to solve this problem.
I have got 3 tab pages containing 3 datasheets based only 1 table. i have 3 primary keys in the table. Two primary keys are found in the 3 datasheets. My last primary key has an auto generated number. when i enter data in the 1st datasheet, for e.g when i filled in the first two rows, and then afterwards i filled my next datasheet, i will need to enter data on the third row. the first two rows will be blank for the 2nd datasheet. How will i remove the empty rows in the datasheets??
Thx in advance.

I may be missing something in the translation. You mean the rows are records? Each row represents a record in your table . Is it that when you create a record and move to the next row the autonumber gets generated but you do not want to add any more data for that record(row)?

hi,
ive got a table that have 14 fields. among them, 7 fields are found in all 3 datasheets(this include the 3 primary keys). The rest are distributed in the 3 datasheets. when i enter data in my 1 datasheet, it is recorded also in the other 2 datasheets. if i enter 3 records in my 1st datasheet and move to the next datasheet, it will prompt me to enter data in the 4th row, because the first 3 rows contain data that pertain to the previous datasheet and 1 dont want the 3 records to appear in the new datasheet because they are not related.Any help??;-)
Thx

Correct me if I am wrong.

You have 1 table.
You have 1 form with 3 subforms and each subform is set to datasheet view.

The form/subforms are bound to the 1 table.

You enter data in the 1st subform (this data consists of the 3 primary keys + 4 other fields). Some of the other fields from the table appear in the 2nd and 3rd subforms.

So when you enter the 3 primary key + 4 other fields with data in the 1st subform it automatically fills in the corresponding subform data fields.

Is this correct?

hI.
;-)Yes exactly. Is there a way around for it not to appear in the other subforms(datasheets)
Thx

As far as I know you cannot do it.

Remember that in a subform each row represents a record in your table. Therefore just because some fields are blank it will still show up.

You might want to consider some kind of redesign.
