navigation pane

I'm a student trying to teach myself to use access. I somehow managed
to minimize my navigation pane and now I can't figure out how to
reopen it. The Access handbook says that, even when minimized, it
should appear as a thin strip on the side, but it doesn't. Is there
any other way I can open the navigation pane?

Go to:
Office Button | Access Options | Current Database | Navigation
and check the box for:
Display Navigation Pane
