Display data in a form

P: 1
Ok this might sound a bit stupid but I'm relatively new to this. I'll explain the background - I'm setting up a database of accounts that people have with my company. I've set up all the tables and necessary queries. There is a section for me to type in when each payment is received, amount and so on. I want to be able to display that information on my form for each account. e.g.

John Smith has an account and pays 120 each year. I can see all of John's details on my form but I want the option of showing his payment history at the bottom (which is held in a seperate table). I have something similar just now but it's no use - i can display all the company payment history but I need it specific to each client. Help please!!!!

Thanks,

Graeme

It sounds like what you want to do is have a sub form component in your form. This would then be set to either datasheet or continous mode and bound to your payment history table. Next you will want to set a filter for the sub form that will only show the records for the currently displayed customer in the parent form.

Unfortunately, I don't have much time at the moment or I could go into more details and some code bits, but for now this should give you an idea of what to start looking at. If you any other questions I will try and answer them as will the other experts I'm sure (not that I'm expert, but I try to help).

Hope this helps.
