Showing a multiple value query in a report

Here goes nothing...

I'm trying to make a report that shows what guys work on what crew, ie. day crew or night crew. For this selection I've got a form with a combo box with either a "D" or "N" where the data is stored in the same table. I'd like the guys on day crew to show up on the left side of my report and the guys on night crew to show up on the right side. Seems simple, I know. The tricky part is I want them to be in rank order, boss on the top, so I've assigned a number to each rank in order to sort from the highest to the lowest. I can't seem to find the correct query in order to show this in this format, I can get all the names sorted by day/night crew, but it is one long list as you see in the datasheet view, vice separated by column. I can make it two columns and adjust the settings to split them where I want but then I'll have to do that every time I add guys to certain crews, I'd like to just be able to view the report and have it populated by what value is in the crew selection. Can anyone help me here, I've been going blind trying to sit here and figure it out!

Use two subreports, one for day and one for night.

Seems so easy... never even thought of that! Thanks for the quick reply.
