Importing data in multiple tables from a single text file

Hi,
i want to import data in multiple tables from a single text file (each field is seprated by pipe sign and each record is seprated by asterisk * ).
Please guide me to the appropriate way.

There are several ways you can go about doing this:

1.You couldy create multiple instances of an import method, creating an import specification for each instance. Creating an import specification for text is rather easy using the import wizard, and clicking on advanced options to create your specification. The Access help menu does an okay job explaining this.

2.You could import your text file to a single table, and then create different queries (either Make A Table, or Append Query depending on your circumstances) to create or append the data to all the different tables you would like.
