Recording which user has made an entry

P: 11
I've got an access database which has a few users with various permissions.

I would like to record as default in a field, the particular access user (not pc login) that created that entry.

I can't find a function or argument that will call the name.

can anyone help?

Are you talking about a workgroup user? Since it's not the pc log in then I can only assume you're talking about an Access workgroup. In which case CurrentDb.Containers("Tables").UserName returns the user.

Not a problem. I don't know about a list but I use google and the Access help files.
