how to add subreport in MSACCESS

Hi,
i am working with MS-Access reports.i created one report and i want to call that report in a main report,if i do that in main report i am not getting the
subreport column headings,
how to get the subreport column names in the main report?
any body, please send me solution

You can't use the columns in your subreport as the column list of your main report. So you work around it by using the same record source for both the main and subreport.

Which I must say is an odd thing to do because I don't see a reason to have to do so.

There's really only one step. Use the same record source. That will give you the same columns. But of course that doesn't link the main form to the subform in any way. For that you'd have to set up the parent/child fields. But you didn't ask for that. That would then be a second step.
