Calculate Cost Per Item in 3rd Field

I'm working on an inventory database to track the individual cost of each item I purchase. Usually items are purchased in a bag or pack.

I tried a validation rule, but received an SQL syntax error telling me it was referring to multiple columns.

SO, I went to the entry form and set up an expression there, but still no answer----just get a #Error in the field.

My expression is this:

Cost_E = [Cost_SB]/[Count_SB]

Pretty simple, or it should be, but I'm missing something.

What do you mean by "I went to the entry form and set up an expression there"?
