Help with multiplication in query

P: 3
I am trying to create a query that multiplies two field from my table, but it's not cooperating. I following is the SQL view of what I have now:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. SELECT [MonthlyDepreciation]*[ElapsedMonths] AS TotalDepreciation
  2. FROM Assets;

The problem I am having is that it keeps asking me to enter the monthly depreciation instead of pulling it from the table. Any suggestions on this issue?

First check the spelling. If that's not the problem, put Asset. in front of the variables. Also, surround the expression with parentheses just in case.

Thanks for the tips; I'm pretty sure I've tried that, but I'll give it another shot.
