Transferring of database to another pc error

P: 1
I have transferred my database from old pc to new pc via disk and reformatted old pc, so its gone. On new pc its coming up with a directory error when I try and go into Customer database. On my new pc main drive is I. Old pc was C drive. The error says: '\\DESKTOP\DesktopPC\Database\***\******.mdb' is not a valid path. Make sure the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.

Any ideas? What is the \\?

I can get into the backend no problems, is there somewhere that I need to change the directory??? Im pretty sure its an easy one to solve, but I cant figure it out, lol.

It looks like you connected to it across the network rather than made a copy of it on the local PC.
This means that it's lost I'm afraid, unless you have a backup somewhere.
\\DESKTOP\DesktopPC means it is looking for the file across the network on a PC called DESKTOP and a network share called desktopPC.
