Trim function in Excel

Hi guys,

I know this is a Access Forum but i had an excel question.

I wanted to know if anyone knew a way i could delete part of a record for example after the first space.

e.g THY0056 London to THY0056 (removing the London)

I came across the Trim function.....Can i use this or would i have to do it another way.

I have 10,000 fields to get through and deleting the data manually is taking alot of time.

Does anyone know how this could be done?

Many thanks

Hi

Try

=LEFT(D3,FIND(" ",D3,1))

where THY0056 London is in cell D3
