Report Design - how to disable Report Design

134 100+
Hi Could someone assist -
When user preview the Report, he or she can right-click to change the report.
how can I disable the Report Design option to prevent them from changing ?

After closing the preview report and return to the main form, I notice the main form size or position change, is there anyway I can maintain the original size of the main form?

1. to prevent the design button from showing up on the shortcut menu, you need to customize the toolbar and menubar to what you want the users to have access to. To customize, go to the command menu, click view> toolbars> check one of the default toolbars or customize your own. Further, you can set the startup properties of your application by clicking Tools>Startup> unchceck allow toolbar changes <and other items as desired. this will prevent the user from being able to go to the Command menu, click View and override your settings.

2. to prevent size or position changes on the main form, place form in design view, invoke property sheet and set the following properties:

Auto Resize = No
Auto Center = No
Min Max buttons = NO

when you have satisfied yourself that your db is where you want it to be functionally, explore splitting the database into front and backends and distributing an mde file instead which will prevent users changing anything of your form or report designs. You can keep the mdb file then for development only as the master file

Did you try sizing the form to the size you want, saving it, and then testing print preview?
