Protect Database on a Local Network

Hi everybody. Please tell me is there anyway by adopting which i can safe my database which is placed in a local network's Server.

I made a database named ExternalDatabase and i want to use this database as back end database. i dont wana link tables or qeuries or forms but im getting each and everything through recordset by using both spnapshot and dynaset. now problem here is that i have to share a folder in which this ExternalDatabase is placed. now everyone who have account on the server can access this ExternalDatabase and can delete it. please tell me how i can protect it. i dont wana anybody to even copy this database. please tell me how i can achieve all this. thank u

Well if you have an open share you struggling somewhat. Other than setting file attributes to hidden, doing regular backups and hoping for the best?!

Thank you for your reply. But really im struggling. I have to read some windows server user rights. i think this can solve my problem. thank u for your reply.
