Report Formatting

Hi,

I am loading a report from a form based on the parameter passed in the form.

The problem is that when i pass the parameter from the form and call the report, the page size and margines set by me in the design mode changes to the system default.

How to solve this problem??

This will require some VBA code and for Access 2003 it will be easier as "older" versions.
Having A97 or A2000 you should check:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I am using Access 2000.

The link you gave contains some useful information, however, it doesnt say how to control the report formatting.

I will explain the problem in detail.

During the report design, I set page size and margines as per my requirements. I am calling the report from a form where in I pass the parameter. Here is where I face problem. The report formating gets to the windows difault (i.e. Letter page size and 1" margines for all sides), the moment I0 change the parameter.

Thanks

When you follow the "Ken Getz" samplelink you'll find a page with the link:
http://www.mcwtech.com/mcwftp/defaultprt.zip
This downloads a database with all code needed.

Access will "remember" the Page settings when you save a report in design format, as long as you don't move the database to another PC or use a different printer :-(
