MS Access 2003 Image Scanning Database

I am creating a database in MS Access 2003 for a school. The database will keep information on all students (Name, Address, etc.) I would also like to scan in a photograph of the student via a flatbed scanner which can be displayed on the record form. Ideally, I would like the images stored outside the database in a "Images" folder. Grateful for help on how I can add a "Scan Image" button on the form and what code needs to go behind it (or possibly an Active X control). I need step by step instructions because I'm quite a new entrant to Access programming. There will be no charges for creating this database so I'm sure that you'll appreciate that I'm looking for a freebie or very cheap solution. Also, if someone could point me in the direction of some sample databases, I should be able to get some ideas from there. I have already tried DBPix which is grret but is not freeware.

Many thanks in advance.

In addition, the above site sells Access Image Albums for $50 that might be worth looking into. They have a free trial version you can download. If nothing else, you can see what a finished album should look like and how it is put together.

Hope this helps.
