Report - PDF insertion or some other solution

Hi All

I am assembling an application which des a whole stack of work for me and so far - so good.

However I am hung up on how best to insert sales brochures and manufacturers data into the reports. Generally these are pdf files however occasionally they are word and rarely HTML.

In an ideal world I would drag a file to the report and drop it in place and then alter the path to insert the relevant file. Unfortunately whilst this is possible Access seems to limit this to one page pdf's when I do it. Many of the pdf's I have are 30 or more pages. However this method is very attractive as it will allow continuity of my page numbering.

Alternatively I could have the file open and attach itself to the report somehow this will acheive the same desired outcome but will compromise my ability to paginate correctly.

A final method that could work with restricted success is for Access to create a folder on my desktop and move the files into the folder and produce an index showing the file name as a final assembly order and I could send the file out to the printer for assembly. This is not much different than I do now although the automation would help a lot it uses a lot of space and is relatively expensive.

Does anyone have a suggestion on one or all of these and any comments on which way is best to acheive the desired outcome of a single report containing all the pdf's?

I don't see much other possibilities. Only by splitting the brochures into one page images and show those in your report the pagenumbering could be maintained.

Remains the reason for inserting this much information in a report. You could ofcourse refer in the report to them as numbered attachments and print them separately.
