Report footer to appear in another report

114 100+
Hello,
I'm trying to figure out how to display the report footer from several different reports in one master report. There is summary information including graphs in each report footer and I want to create a simple "dashboard-esque" report for managers. I'm sure I need to provide more specifics but I'm not sure what you may need (I've never done much in this area). Thanks for any help!

Include the report as a subreport.

Include the report as a subreport.
I thought that was the obvious solution - but I when I place a report as a subreport, I also get the detail from that report- I don't want the detail, just the totals and graphs I have in the footer of that report. Does that make sense?

I've only partially tested this theory, but it does seem to work.
  1. Set the Height of 'ALL' controls in the Detail Section to 0. For all practical purposes, they will be invisible but still functional.
  2. Stack them either right on top of one another, or across the very top of the Detail Section.
  3. Collapse the Detail and all other Report Sections, except the Footer.
  4. Open the Report.
  5. Only the Report Footer and a very tiny Detail Section will be displayed but the Detail Section will not be visible.
  6. Ember this/these Reports as Sub-Reports in your Main Report.
  7. Good luck and let me know how you make out on this one.

One thing - the report that is to be a subreport (the one we are making "invisible but still functional" ) needs to work as its own separate report WITH the details. I guess I would make a copy of the subreport, rename it, then use that as you described above?

What you describe may be your only viable option at this time.
