Opening a form for data entry with a command button

P: 8
I have a form with two command buttons and want them to open a separate "work order" form in different ways. The two forms are linked by an ID field. One of the buttons, the "View Work Orders" button, opens the "work order" form and shows all related records for that ID. I want the other one, the "Create New Work Order" button, to open the work order form in data entry mode. Does anyone understand what I am trying to do?

Did you try to enter the "Dataentry" mode by specifying it as a parameter to the DoCmd.OpenForm command ?
