input mask problems

P: 58
Hey again,

I have a form (columner style) that the user enters in info from bags that come in. once the user selects an area (from a drop down box), this determines the input mask for the next text box. This works alright, but my problem is that when the input mask changes, it changes it for all the records. I have two different masks.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Private Sub txtHoleNo_GotFocus()
  3. if cboArea.value="LDD" then
  4.     txtHoleNo.inputmask="\000;0"
  5. else
  6.    txtHoleNo.inputmask="\00\-000;0"
  7. end if
  8. end sub

There's nothing you can do about that. It's the way that Access works. The only thing you can really do is use a non-continuous form and use the On Current event to get the correct input mask each time.
