6
I'm using outlook automation to send and e-mail to my contacts access database and merge some data from it.

When I send to the email subject a text with caracters diferents from usual leters (á,í ...) I get odd results in the email

example:
text I send: Acción Text I get:Acciªn
Any clue out this problem?

Obviously the email is using another ASCII characterset as the database.
This should be handled within the Outlook settings....

I understand.

Any way, do you know how can I clue the ASCII page used in Outlook from access vb code to avoid this kind of problems when I send my database to other people?

Thanks

Sorry, I'm not that Outlook savvy. Yoy can look under Tools/Options, the "Mail format" tab holds a [Fonts] button and the popup then reveals the [International Fonts]. Somewhere this should be available in the Outlook object model, remais however the fact that you can't control the recipients font setting....
An option might be to try HTML emails, but even that's no 100% as the recipient can have switched that format off....
