Excel Report

Greetings. I am in need of some assistance. i have been tasked with creating a report that when finished will be published to an excel 2003 spreadsheet. I have written many simple reports, but have never even dreamed of creating a report on this scale. The report would count the number of Devices listed as ( Status = Inventory) using a specific wireless carrier --> (Spare Pool) and subtract a pre-determined amount (Devices Required) to have on hand a produce a number positive or negative thus reflecting how many devices would need to ordered if negative number or not ordered if a positive number is produced. The report would also Pull totals from two additional tables 1.) tbl_symbol_parts 2.) tbl_intermec_parts. These totals would be of accesory items on hand in the first record of each table and placed into the same column (Spare Pool) as the above mentioned device counts. These accesory item totals would then be subtracted by a predetermined amount to have on hand and again produce a number positive or neagative determining if the item is in need Procuring additional items. As I have never ecountered anything of this magnitude I need some guidance on how to produce a report of this caliber. Thank you for any help or kick in the pants in the right direction!

I would like to warn you that transforming a report into Excel (althought there is a button), isn't very successfull in general.
Better to build the needed queries and use a Docmd.TransferSheet to create the needed report.

Just start joining the main and subtables and place the needed fields.
Then you can issue the command or try to use a macro to create the excelsheet.
