Pasting more than 31 rows in MS ccess

Hi there; I hope someone can help with this: When trying to past a
set of rows into a table, Access only pastes 31 rows but no more. I do
know that this is a parameter somewhere in Access but for the past
week have been unable to find it. I tried every button in Access 1997
and Access 2003 but could find nothing. And yet I know it is there
because I have another installation that 'behaves' and I know I
changed this before.

Your help is much appreciated

I use A2K and have pasted many rows without trouble.
What method are you using to paste?
a) cut & paste
b) append query
c) DoCmd.RunSQL (vba code)
d) other?

Give us some more info...

Hi Fred

I am no longer sure what I saw. However, I on occasion find copying
all rows from one table to the clipboard, then pasting them into an
empty copy of the table (with uniqueness constraints in the
appropriate places) a quick way to have duplicates written to the
Paste Error table.

Getting onto a new installation of Access 2003 that was set up for me,
I found Access happily confirming it had pasted 31 rows. In fact, the
set was much larger. I also seem to remember that this is a default
paramter that comes in on installing Access.

Couple of days later I cannot reproduce the problem - which is good -
but have no idea whether I was imagining the 31 row limit or not. I
just seem to remember having this very same problem a few years ago
and traced it to some obscure setting.
