Add record from recordset to table.

2
How's it goin'? I'm pretty new to VBA and Access and I'm teaching myself as I go. What I need help with deals with adding a record from a recordset to a table without specifying each field value. The records in my recordset have 200 fields and it would be a pain in the butt to specify each one in a runsql (Insert into) statement. If I could just tell access to add a record that exists in a recordset to a table, that'd be perfect. I don't know how to do that though. If someone could help me out, that'd be sweet.

Peace

If this is an ADO recordset (what's the source data format?), and you're working with an Access, then I can't see any way to do what you want in a one-step process.

There are ways of achieving this in SQL Server 2005, for example, but that would be moving away from your basic VBA coding.

Steve,

Thanks for looking into my problem. I'll just have write the code the long way! It sucks but it's no big deal.
