Send eMail button from datasheet view form

40
I am quite new to this and my VB knowledge is close to zero.
I have created a for that shows info about applications and it includes a subform with all the people responsible for the application. There are 3 fields shown :
name , tel , email
I want create a button that send an email to selected record.
email field is plain text field that holds the email. I managed to get it working in contacts form which is a single form by adding code :
FollowHyperlink "mailto:"
yet this does not seem to work on the subform in datasheet view.

If anyone understands this please help me out here...

btw i am using Access 2000

Nope
haven't tried that one Steve... As I am new to this I have never came across it before and have no idea what it does.
I actually found out that I had a error in my original code.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. FollowHyperlink "mailto:" & Form!list_1_subform3![E-Mail]
  2.
instead of Form!.. I had Forms!.. and that caused it not to work. Took me long time to notice that.
Next step for me is to be able to send mail to all selected people because now on multiple selection it just takes the mail from first selected record?
Any ideas on how it could be done?
