Disappearing event code

I am getting spooked.
Either I have a nasty virus or I'm going around the bend.
I have an app that I've been plugging away at for years.
Finally I've migrated it to A07 from A97.
Along with a bit of minor debugging it seemed to come over OK.
Now something is happening that I just don't get at all.
I have (or rather had) events behind 2 check boxes that have
disappeared altogether.
It's gone from the current version as well as from all my
grandfathered versions on my computer including the A97 versions.
I've distributed the 2007 version and a check with a client reveals
that the code is there and working.
This is too weird for me and I'm ready to throw in the towel.
Does anyone have any words of wisdom the will keep me from hanging
myself.
