How to invoke Custom Help from a button?

jamjar

I wish to add a command button to my forms to allow users access to the custom help file I am developing. (They can use F1, or the menu, but I think having a button where appropriate will encourage them to use it more often).

The HelpFile and HelpContextID are set, and F1 and What's This work, but I can't figure out what VB to use to invoke Help when the help button is clicked ..... any suggestions ?

thanks-
James

Hi James

You need to use a shell command as follows:

Shell "C:\Windows\hh.exe C:\MyFolder\access.chm", vbNormalFocus

This assumes that C:\MyFolder\access.chm is the path to your help file.
