merge 17 access database

hi to everybody,

im just new in this group. i hope somebody can help to my question. i have 17 database with same fields but different data. this database is for the attendance of our employee we have 17 branches + 1 Main Office. i want to merge all database so that i can get the report in one database only. because what im doing now is i need to open the 17 folder to gather the report.

i hope you can give solution to this problem,

Assuming you don't want to merge them permanently.

Open a blank database and create a link to each table from each of the databases.

Now you have a couple of options. You can create a series of queries to append the data to a new table or you can create a UNION Query as follows:

SELECT * FROM Table1
UNION
SELECT * FROM Table2
UNION
SELECT * FROM Table3
UNION
SELECT * FROM Table4
UNION
SELECT * FROM Table5
UNION
.
.
.
SELECT * FROM Table17

Either way you end up with one set of records.
